Rape, I wonder if it's any less traumatizing for a woman than a man, outside of prison than in.

Being raped, beaten, robbed, and victim of attempted murder by this or that other prisoner has been my decades-long mightmarish prison experience. Born and bred of an affluent (generations-long) self-employed family, I'm ashamed to say that I honestly used to believe that anyone in prison belonged there, and anything that happens there they deserve. Most everybody of my then social-economic background felt the same way, and all of us were ghastly naively wrong.
